Creating At The Theatre
Kids aged 8-13 will be enchanted by the magic of masks during this five-day mask-making camp that pairs the creation process with daily mask play on stage.
Our internationally trained theatre professionals will explore various mask techniques and modalities as they engage children in performance exercises that are designed to nurture each child's unique creative journey and interests.
Children will discover new forms of self-expression through characters, props, movement, and sound expression. Fostering inclusion and community through games, physical movement, and imagination, children will be guided in the step-by-step process of mask creation, as they are encouraged to explore possibilities and freely imagine within this immersive theatre experience.
Theatre & Mask will culminate in an optional performance at Calgary's newest black box theatre, located in the beltline.
